The Eagle River flows through the Gorge de Galamus. In ancient dialect 'eagle' is agly. Crashing through a ceiliing of fig leaves this closely observed study of flowing water is treated in blues and pinks. Yellow sunlight occupies the top left. The rock forms are boldly delineated in earth tints. Shadows recede to deep brown.
